These aluminum master cylinders are designed after the popular corvette style units used today and weighs 8lbs less than a comparable kit made of cast iron. Along with the weight savings you gain added performance and decrease stresses that occur when using a heavy iron master. When the machine process is complete we then sendĀ to our production shop for the burnishing process. Burnishing the cylinder wall removes and/or greatly reduces burrs, imperfections and micro machining chatter marks that occur in all machine processes. It also makes for a straighter cylinder wall. Most all other manufacturers skip this process to reduce cost and see only a 40% successĀ rate because the piston seals can not seat properly. Master cylinder includes our unique bore adapter to allow for use on both power and manual disc brake applications.
